Rudraksha Yoga, The Knowledge of Knowing the Unknown:  the Knower and the Known!

Hari Om! Namaste!!

Welcome to the blog Rudraksha Yoga.

This is a non-commercial and non-profit blog established to serve everybody in our society. We have no affiliation to any political organization whatsoever, to keep the blog purely spiritual. Also, please understand that this blog does not sell any Rudraksha beads or some fashionable New Age Yoga.

This blog deals only with 100% Sanatana Dharma(Hindu) spirituality as described in Divine Scriptures and practiced by our Great Masters.

We respect all other theistic spiritual paths, since we believe that all the paths lead to the same Universal Self.  While we revere other Sanatana Dharma schools of thought, herein we discuss only the non-dualistic(Advaita) philosophy established and propagated by our Great Universal Master Shri Shankaracharya Bhagavatpadah.

Please note that this is a theistic spiritual blog. So, atheists and agnostics can safely skip the blog and move on. In line with this, we are not at all bothered or concerned about any non-theistic paths e.g. Buddhism, Jainism, Charvaka and others in this blog. We do not entertain any further discussion on this.

  • Mission: To share authentic information on Sanatana Dharma(Hinduism) focusing on the Highest Knowledge, Hindu spirituality and traditional yoga.

The following are the focus areas of Rudraksha Yoga:

1. The Highest Knowledge
The primary focus of this blog is to discuss the Highest Knowledge, which is to know that our Individual Self is nothing but the Universal Self. Our Upanishads say this very beautifully as:

Tat Twam Asi | – Taittiriya Upanishat

Meaning: That Thou Art! i.e. That Universal Self is nothing but your real you(Individual Self).

To put it in simpler terms: We are nothing but God! This knowledge is the Highest Knowledge. It is referred in our Great Scriptures by many different names: Atma Jnana(Knowing our own Individual Self), Brahma Jnana(Knowing the Universal Self), Sadvidya(Eternal Knowledge), etc.

Due to our past Karmas our capabilities are limited and we are in the ignorance or false notion of thinking that our body itself is our Individual Self.  Since the veil of ignorance is very strong, we need the help of a Realized Master(Sadguru) to remove our ignorance by his/her spiritual power to put us on the correct path to realize the God within us.

The Master(Shri Guru) also facilitates us to regain our essential nature, viz., supreme happiness or bliss within ourselves. The realization of God within us by eliminating our karmic baggage is the single most important purpose of our lives as human beings. The articles in the blog discuss these aspects in detail.

2. Traditional Yoga
As a modern trend, everybody is talking about yoga these days. Many people are practicing so called new age yoga without knowing the real goal of traditional yoga. For some, yoga is a medicine to cure diseases. Some others think it is a set of exercises as means to physical fitness.  Unfortunately, both are completely ignorant!

This widespread misunderstanding of concepts of yoga has prompted us to create Rudraksha Yoga by the blessings of our Great Masters and inspiration of our Great Goddess Shridevi. It is important to understand that the physical benefits are  the gifts that we get in our journey towards a higher spiritual goal. One of our endeavors here is to educate general public, yoga aspirants and practitioners by providing them the core basics of traditional yoga.

Our efforts are also directed towards motivating modern yoga schools and teachers to  include fundamental spiritual bases of traditional yoga discussed in the blog in their theoretical classes.  Moreover, we would like to inspire them to give up wrong practices that violate core principles of traditional yoga and to comply with rules of real yoga as bestowed to us by our Great Masters and revealed in our Scriptures.

In summary, the purpose of the blog is  to educate everyone by spreading the traditional yoga, Hindu spirituality  and the Highest Knowledge. Please see our detailed policy here.
